It’s nearly time for Tyson Fury v Deontay Wilder 3, with millions of boxing fans primed to tune in for the huge trilogy clash between two of the world’s top heavyweights.
Fury and Wilder fought to a disputed draw in their first bout back in 2018 but the Briton controlled the rematch and stopped the ‘Bronze Bomber’ in the seventh round to inflict Wilder’s first career loss.
After that triumph, Fury was all set to face fellow Briton Anthony Joshua for the undisputed heavyweight crown this summer in Saudi Arabia in a £200 million mega-fight…until a judge in the US ruled that the big-hitting Alabaman had the contractual right to a third contest with the ‘Gypsy King’.
That put paid to Fury v Joshua, and AJ’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk means the all-British clash is off the radar for the time being, with Joshua now seeking a rematch against the Ukrainian.
But with Wilder desperate to avenge his solitary defeat – and Fury wanting to prove he is still the best heavyweight around, the third bout between the pair could be a thriller…so bring on Round Three.

What have they been saying?
Fury on Wilder’s silence during their press conference:
“It shows how weak of a mental person he is. It shows how much the beating from the last fight has taken an emotional and physical effect on his life.
“I was worried about Deontay Wilder for quite a while after the defeat I gave him.
“Obviously he’s doing his little thing with his earphones on and he doesn’t want to answer any questions, that’s up to him. I’m here to promote a fight and talk to the press – what I always do.”
